About me
Hi, I’m Katie Burkhart—former Division I athlete, professional softball pitcher, and mindset coach. As a four-year full-scholarship athlete at Arizona State University, I led my team to win the 2008 Women’s College World Series and earned MVP honors. My #7 jersey was retired at ASU, a testament to the legacy I left on the field. I’m also a proud three-time Hall of Fame inductee (SLOHS, ASA, & ASU) recognized for my achievements and impact on the sport. I was a first-round draft pick in the 2008 National Pro Fastpitch Draft, competed professionally in the United States, Japan, and Italy, and played for Team USA in 2009.
Beyond my athletic career, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others navigate the mental challenges of sports and life. I’m certified in Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I’ve combined my expertise with my personal journey to create transformative coaching programs, courses, and my young adult book, “Mental Muscle: Skills to Win in Sports & Life”. In May 2025 in time for Mental Health Awareness month, I will be releasing another book “Beyond the Game” which is for all athletes experiencing identity post their athletic careers.
I am passionate about empowering athletes and individuals to master their mindset, unlock their potential, and thrive both in competition and beyond. Let’s work together to build a foundation for lasting growth and success!
